Genre: Multi-Instrumentalist, Singer Songwriter
Originally a California girl, Shari’s 40 year career from Pied Pumkin, through The Hometown Band, and on as a solo artist and multi-instrumentalist has lead to 23 albums – including her collaboration with Bill Henderson and Roy Forbes (UHF), Barney Bentall & Tom Taylor (BTU), and The High Bar Gang, a 7 piece bluegrass band with Barney Bentall. Her work has garnered 2 Juno awards, an induction into the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame, a 2014 CFMA for English Songwriter of the Year and “an extremely enjoyable life as a musician and songwriter”.
Through it all Shari raised daughter Julia Graff, now 27 and herself an accomplished musician, recording engineer and producer, engineering Shari’s most recent solo album “Everywhere I Go”, and BTU’s new release “Tightrope Walk”.
Shari also composes for documentary films and TV, is a songwriting educator (UBC & Humber College) and is the producer and host of Vancouver’s longest running songwriter concert series (21 years) “Bluebird North”.
She’ll be coming through Ontario on a rare solo tour, performing on piano, guitar, mandolin & fiddle. She’s particularly fond of Home Routes concerts! Her shows are known for their warmth and humour and may call for Kleenex.
